My great grandfather Nicola (Nicholas) Podesta was born in Genoa, Italy in 1850. at the age of 13 he went to England. on the 1871 British census it says he came from the town of Moneglia. and his father was named Joe, Joseph or Giuseppe Podesta, a Mason by trade. As there was no passenger lists to England there is no way of find if he came with his family
