This article, written in Dec 2007 By Philip Pullella caught my attention as it outlines one families battle to name their son Venerdì (Friday) which happened to be the weekday he was born on. They case went to tribunal where it was decided he should instead be called Gregory because he was born on that saint’s feast day and ruled he be registered as such.
